White City play project kids take off!

Trips, trips and more trips. That’s what’s been happening down at our White City play project over the last three weeks.

In addition to all of the activities we offer at White City play centre, our summer programme also includes day trips out at reduced rates for the children on the project. So far we’ve visited Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures and an event run by the Play Association in Bishop’s Park.

Each of these trips were organised with the hope that children who wouldn’t usually be able to venture out of their immediate communities, for whatever reason that might be, had the chance to do so. And believe me, they had fun whilst doing so!

Despite being shattered from the travelling and riding too many rollercoasters (if that’s possible), the children returned to the centre with the biggest smiles on their faces, which makes it all worthwhile.

  1. Well done White City Play Project. This is exactly what the Play Association is for.
